Your body is bracing for something that isn’t in the room.
The racing heart with no reason. The 3am ceiling. The constant scan for what’s about to go wrong, even when everything is fine. Anxiety like this isn’t a character flaw, and it usually isn’t irrational — it’s a nervous system that learned, somewhere, to expect the worst and never got the signal that the danger passed.

I’m Dr. Samuel. I’ve spent years with people whose anxiety was earned, not imagined — soldiers in veterans’ clinics, families in Red Crescent refugee camps where the worst genuinely could happen, and the quiet dread of death that war leaves behind. The core of my work is therapy that reaches the root of the anxiety; when a client wants it, I can add neurofeedback as an optional, drug-free support — never a replacement for the real work. RCC, CCC, doctorate, 50+ active clients at Fraser Health, in English and Persian (فارسی).
Especially if you’re a veteran or first responder whose alarm never switched off, you look high-functioning and feel anything but, or you’re tired of being told to “just relax.”
“Dr. Sam really takes the time to listen and make you feel comfortable. I always leave feeling supported and more confident in my progress.”

Your shoulders can drop and stay dropped. You can sleep, breathe, and stop rehearsing disasters. Most people are surprised how much of anxiety is a trained response that can be untrained.
Tried therapy and it didn’t touch it? We can go deeper — and for some, adding neurofeedback alongside the therapy reaches what talk alone couldn’t. On medication and still anxious? We work alongside it. Not sure what to say? Just say “I saw your website.”
Your first 20 minutes are completely free — no forms, no commitment, no pressure to book. Just a real conversation, in English or فارسی.
